Anna Karpinska

Anna is a PhD candidate at enviroCORE, Institute of Technology Carlow and a current Irish Research Council award holder in the area of Earth and Environmental Science and Ecology. Anna graduated from Institute of Technology Carlow in 2018 with a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science.

Her awards and achievements also include: Environmental Science Association of Ireland (ESAI) Undergraduate of the Year Award 2018, for the project on ''Recovery of phosphorous from disposable nappies''; ESAI Undergraduate of the Year Award 2017, for the analytical project ''Environmental analysis of physical, chemical and biological characteristics of River Water''.

Anna’s research is focused on agricultural sustainability, nutrient recovery and soil ecology by promoting soil biodiversity.
